Belltower Event Coordinator

Position Function:
Responsible for event setup and supervision, facility operations and staff supervision.

Requirements:
Education: High school diploma

Experience: Event management, service and/or banquet industry, wedding planning or coordination preferred.
Functional: Responsible for developing event plans, and executing weddings and events per
given event plans; supervising event staff; serving as customer service representative to clients
throughout wedding planning and events; ensuring that chapel facility is appropriately prepared
for events, adequately maintained during events and returned to acceptable conditions after
events. Must provide supervision & coaching to ACH Work Skills participants. Occasionally
provide backup to administrative staff for facility tours.

Ability to tolerate physical activity such as walking, standing, climbing, lifting, and squatting.
Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds on a continual basis. Must be able to respond to a variety of
work assignments such as setting up tables, chairs, and other furniture items for weddings and
events; serving as parking lot attendants/security and providing some janitorial services
(emptying trash, maintaining cleanliness in bathroom facilities, etc.) during events; post-event
breakdown and cleanup. Must not have been charged with or convicted of a felony or criminal
offense against a child.

Working Conditions:
Fast paced; must be able to make decisions and provide high-level customer service; develop acceptable event plans and follow event plans as set by Chapel Manager. Must be able to work a minimum of 2 events a month.

Exposure to Confidential Information:
Maintain confidentiality & follow policies related to personnel & client records.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
Ability to multi-task; possess exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail. Must
also be able to fill in for other positions as required.
