WORKPLACE READINESS CLASS
The Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce will be offering a series of Workplace Readiness virtual classes. The program is designed to empower and advance workers that have been displaced because of the Covid19 Pandemic.
Class topics will include: Resume Development; Job Search Therapy; Interview Prep; Attire and Virtual Interview Techniques; Networking; Enhancing Social Media Presence & LinkedIn resources; and On the Job Etiquette. Classes will be conducted by Brittany Lambert CEO of The Double Bottom Line.
"We are pleased to launch this program and very thankful to Brittany for sharing her expertise in these areas", said FWMBCC President Dee Jennings. "It is apparent that a number of people in minority communities have lost jobs due to the pandemic. In some cases, they will have to reinvent their skill sets to advance their careers. This program will give them the tools necessary to move forward into new areas and opportunities."
The target market for this program would include persons recently laid off due to Covid19 such as airline employees and senior workers, entrepreneurs whose businesses have been adversely affected by the Pandemic, and anyone that needs to pivot and discover new job opportunities as a result of a job ending. Regardless of the circumstances, the Workplace Readiness Program can improve a worker's chances to become re-engaged into the workplace.
Interested parties must register in advance for the free services by going to the Chamber's website www.fwmbcc.org, or the Chamber's Facebook page. This is a four-week course that will begin March 24.
