Manhattan, Byrne, JRT, 3i, a Joint Venture (“MBJ3”) as Construction Manager at Risk will receive sealed bids for construction subcontracts at DFW Airport titled “Terminal E Phase 4” Contract No. 9500406 SA20. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis and include the following bid package:
 
PACKAGE 13.5: Asbestos Abatement which includes all ceiling, walls, chases. sprayed fireproofing, floor mastic, and pipe insulation etc. as identified in the scope of work and consultants protocol. Est. value: $ 400,000 to $700,000 M/WBE GOAL 10%.
 
 
DOCUMENTS: For all packages, CD’s will be available on the dates as follows below between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the MBJ3 office located at 3003 S. Service Road, Trailer C-4, DFW Airport, Texas 75261. Printed copies for purchase will be available thru MS Dallas Reprographics; 1130 Dragon St. #110, Dallas, Texas 75207, telephone (214) 521-7000. CD’s or Plans can be shipped to out-of-town locations at the Contractor's expense. Bidding documents may be examined locally in plan rooms.

A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held in Trailer C-3, 3003 Service Road, DFW Airport Texas 75261 on the following date and time PACKAGE 13.5: Tuesday April 12, 2016 at 11:00 am.

BIDS WILL BE RECEIVED until 2:00 p.m. LOCAL TIME, Thursday April 28, 2016 in the lobby of the DFW Airport Design Code Construction Building, 3003 South Service Road, DFW Airport 75261.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted. The   CMAR must be notified the day before sending sealed proposals by overnight delivery service. Otherwise, the proposal may not get date and time stamped and could be considered late.
 
 
MBJ3 reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, to advertise for new proposals, or proceed to do the work by other means when in the best interests of MBJ3. No Bidder may withdraw its Proposal within ninety (90) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
 
MBJ3’s policy is to obtain maximum practical M/WBE (DBE) participation at all tiers. In furtherance of this policy, MBJ3 has implemented an M/WBE (DBE) Program for all bidders in which they are required to demonstrate good faith efforts to obtain maximum practical M/WBE (DBE) participation and to contractually commit to a percentage of M/WBE (DBE) participation if awarded the project. The successful bidders will be required to demonstrate, through a written narrative submitted with their pricing proposal, their efforts to involve and utilize M/WBE's (DBE) at the recommended minimum goal levels listed above. Possible subcontracting areas include, but are not limited to, the following: subcontract labor, transportation of waste and M/WBE (DBE) suppliers for this trade.
 
BID SECURITY in the amount of five percent (5%) of bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
