2011 Buddy Walk

 Hello family and friends,    

    It is time for the 2011 Buddy Walk. On behalf of Xtra 21 Team Courtney we would like to invite you to participate or be a sponsor for the 2011 Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas Buddy Walk “Team Courtney”. The goal of the Buddy Walk is to promote awareness and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and to raise money for research, education and advocacy programs. Individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and friends walk a one-mile course and enjoy food, games, and entertainment throughout the day. The 2011 Buddy Walk will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Flag Pole Hill located at White Rock Lake (8700 E. Northwest Highway Dallas, TX 75238). The activities will start at 11am and the walk will start at 1pm.

     Xtra 21 Express Trucking is the official sponsor of Team Courtney and is in it’s 4th year of sponsorship. Courtney Lester , brother of Braylon Lester, is a 27 year old male that is diagnosed with Down Syndrome ( Trisome 21) . The name Xtra 21 Express represents the extra number 21 chromosome that an individual with down syndrome possess. So please join us in an effort to raise awareness and donations to help the Down Syndrome Guild of America and Team Courtney. All donations and proceeds are directed to the Down Syndrome Guild of America. Please feel free to contact our office about how to donate and how to help.
